Join Team Safe Kids Worldwide in the 2014 Marine Corps Marathon on October 26!
Each year, new and veteran runners come together to participate in the Marine Corps Marathon as part of Team Safe Kids. In addition to their training, runners work to raise awareness and resources for Safe Kids Worldwide.
This year we’re dreaming big! We have a goal of raising over $100,000 to be used to continue Safe Kids program efforts in communities across the country. Help us reach our goal, and reach more families with education and information needed to protect children from injury so they can reach theirs.

About Safe Kids
Safe Kids Worldwide is a global organization dedicated to preventing childhood injuries, the number one cause of death to children in the United States. Throughout the world, more than one million children die of an injury each year, and every one of these tragedies is preventable.
Safe Kids works with an extensive network of more than 500 coalitions in the United States and partners in 25 countries to reduce traffic injuries, drownings, falls, burns, poisonings and more. Since 1988, Safe Kids has helped reduce the U.S. childhood death rate from unintentional injury by 55 percent. Working together, we can do much more for kids everywhere.
About the Marine Corps Marathon
With more than 30,000 runners, servicemen and women lining the course, and the beautiful DC scenery, this is one of the best and most exclusive races in the country. In fact, it’s such a hot ticket that spots were only available through a lottery – so this is your last opportunity to get into the race!
